Demonstrate Your Ongoing Commitment to CX Excellence

Earning the CCXP was an indication of your experience and knowledge. Maintaining your CCXP through recertification shows that you are keeping up with changes in customer experience and continue to meet the standards of the CCXP program.

CCXP recertification is required every 3 years and demonstrates your commitment to:

  •   Staying current with CX best practices and industry trends
  •   Continuous learning and professional development

If you have not submitted your recertification application and fees prior to the recertification date, please note the following:

  • You will be be removed from the official listing of CCXPs the day after your recertification date, and your certification will permanently automatically expire unless you take action.
  • You can reinstate your CCXP within a six-month period following the recertification date by completing the full recertification process with fees, accompanied by an additional reinstatement fee.
  • If you have not completed reinstatement within six months after your expiration date, your certification will fully expire and you will not have rights to represent yourself as a CCXP. You must then retake and pass the CCXP exam to return to being a CCXP in good standing.

Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend starting to accumulate credits immediately after certification. You can submit your application up to 365 days before your expiration date. Most CCXPs spread their credit activities throughout the three year period rather than waiting until the end.
One credit equals one hour of structured learning or professional development activity related to customer experience. This includes attending conferences, webinars, workshops, completing online courses, reading CX books, writing articles, speaking at events, or volunteering for CX organizations.
Keep certificates of completion, receipts, attendance confirmations, or screenshots for all activities. For self-directed learning, maintain a log with dates, topics, and time spent. You'll need to provide this documentation when submitting your application.
If your certification expires, you enter a six-month grace period. During this time, you can still recertify by paying both the recertification fee and a late fee. After six months, your certification becomes inactive and you must retake the CCXP exam to regain your credential.
No, credits cannot be carried over to the next certification cycle. Each three year period requires 30 new credits. However, activities completed up to the day of your expiration date can be applied to your current recertification.
